Planter Pods

All cultures place importance on gardening.  Gardening provides a means for connecting with the earth, with each other, creativity, and peace. I think of my Primitiva Pottery and Tile garden planters as  planters pods. 

Primitiva Pottery and Tile uses terracotta clay to highlight the connection of the planter pods to the earth. Organic pod and bud forms combine with inspiration from the terracotta clay to create unique planters. They stand on three feet and are six to seven inches in diameter and slightly taller.  The edges are irregular and undulating.  Most sport shoes or boots placing them firmly on the ground. A few go barefoot.

Satin, irridescent, and mildly glossy surfaces in shades of cream, blue, and green dominate the color palette for the planters pods. Occasionally, a pink, yellow or purple one seeds itself. Whereas one of Primitiva Pottery and Tiles' planter pods may be chosen for a favorite plant, these pods makes any plant special.

Each planter pod has a feisty personality. Although their forms suggest movement, they promise not to walk, run, or dance away if they winter outside in planting zones 7 or warmer in the winters. They last for decades.

I usually have a few planter pods ready to ship and can send photos by internet of the specific pods available because no two are alike.
