Garden Planters

Planter Pods

Primitiva Pottery and Tile uses terracotta clay to highlight the connection of Maria's planter pods to the earth. Organic pod and bud forms combine with inspiration from the terracotta clay to create unique planters. They stand on three feet and are six to seven inches in diameter and height.  Their edges undulate and ripple adding to their illusion of movement.  Most sport shoes or boots placing them firmly on the ground. A few go barefoot. They are winter hardy to zone 7 and definitely in Washington State.

Chalk Pots

I found that the crows and squirrels regard plant tags, my reminders of what I'm growing and who gave it to me, as a challenge to remove. Why not have planters that I can write on? This summer I introduced my Chalk Pots, planters with a satiny black glaze or an earthy brown glaze that you write with chalk on that you can erase. I've also had fun writing messages on them...grow, grow, grow--or Happy Birthday to a friend.
